Sun Devil Roots

2012–2018

I studied biomedical engineering at Arizona State from 2012 to 2016. In the Haynes Lab I worked on making PCR accessible: small, portable machines built so the technique could be taught in high-school labs instead of staying locked in specialist ones. As a SynBERC Scholar I presented “Teaching Digital PCR with OpenPCR and a Blue Light Fluorimeter” at the 2014 SynBERC Spring Retreat at UC Berkeley, alongside Hiram Rivera-Passapera, Kathryn Scheckel, and Dr. Karmella A. Haynes. My first engineering job was at Becton Dickinson. In 2018 I left it for Los Angeles.

2018–2023

I moved to Los Angeles in 2018, trading a biomedical engineering career for a creative one. The break was a Polaroid. I barely made it to Machine Gun Kelly's Cleveland XXmas show in December 2019, got to the pit, and shot one frame. He posted it on his Instagram. When he came through Arizona we connected, and after a weekend of partying into the New Year celebrating Ryan Sheckler, he told me to have my passport ready. By February 2020 I was in Dubai. From there I shot the tail end of the Hotel Diablo tour, then Tickets to My Downfall, then Mainstream Sellout. Then fashion took the lens.

2023–2025

In 2023 my lens turned to fashion. Client shoots, celebrities, Jimmy Butler among them, and the party circuit for Flaunt magazine. Two years of learning what a frame is worth when nobody is on stage.

Amazon operations, automated.

2026 to now

Doing the same tasks over and over is monotonous and boring. That mundane repetition sucks the life out of anyone who seeks inspiration to enrich their life. So I built one automated process that carries my Amazon operation end to end: product discovery, purchasing, listing, and pricing.

2026 to now

This is the arc I am in now. I build agentic automation workflows for myself and for small businesses, systems that hand their owners back time and raise their revenue potential. 2026 was my immersion year: I enrolled in AI courses, joined AI coding clubs, and lived inside the tooling.
